During the weekend of 1-3 Oct 21 the Association celebrated the 80th anniversary of the flight/air engineer.  The weekend kicked off with a meet and greet on the Friday evening in the Village Hotel Swindon.

During the evening MAcr Gav Ovenden presented a replacement port decanter which was dedicated to Sgt Andy House.  Andy, who passed away in early 2020, was an avid supporter of the Association.  The decanter replaced one previously presented to Dave Kildea when he finished his tenure as Chairman.

Saturday morning kicked off with the 2021 AGM after which the party split for visits to RAF Brize Norton and MOD Lyneham.

Saturday evening saw the formal dinner where the Association welcomed three guests of honour.

WO Stanley Wilson, a former Lancaster FE was introduced by MAcr Mark Fellows.

Flt Lt Bryan Wardell, a former Lancaster FE was introduced by Sqn Ldr Jim Stokes.

Gp Capt Stuart Andrews, a former Nimrod Air Engineer who is currently serving, in the Flight Operations branch, in the NATO HQ in Brussels.

Once the formal proceedings were completed the reminiscing went on into the early hours.

Many thanks to the outgoing Events Team (Dave Kildea, Jim Stokes & Ian Parker) for organising a great celebration and to James Wilkinson for providing the photo record of the event.
